Retrofitting an Irish home is where craftsmanship and building science meet. Marcin holds certification from Engineers Ireland in Retrofitting and Energy Efficiency, has completed advanced retrofit skills training at Mount Lucas National Construction Training Campus, and is a certified Baumit installer for external wall insulation systems.
Our retrofit work covers the full envelope: external wall insulation systems applied and rendered correctly so the detailing at reveals, eaves and sills is right; internal wall insulation where EWI is not practical (terraced fronts, protected facades); attic insulation upgrades to current spec; airtightness membranes detailed and tested; and heat-recovery ventilation specified to keep the air fresh in the airtight envelope.
For full-home retrofits we coordinate the BER assessment, the works package and the certification so the project is properly graded and grant-eligible where applicable.

In many cases yes — specific grant programmes apply depending on your BER, property type and the works in scope. We will tell you what is available and coordinate the BER assessor where required.
Most semi-detached or terraced homes take 3 to 6 weeks for full EWI, depending on scaffolding access and weather. We schedule EWI projects April to October to avoid the worst weather.
