Home Retrofitting in Wicklow town.

Wicklow Town · The area

Why home retrofitting in Wicklow town are a familiar brief.

Wicklow town retrofit work follows the Greystones split with coastal exposure on the harbour stock. The town-centre period housing and Victorian harbour terraces carry solid wall construction where internal wall insulation is the primary move; airtightness impact is raised by the coastal exposure. The mid-century estate housing through the middle and the 1990s and 2000s estate stock on the outskirts carry cavity construction with cavity-fill plus attic top-up as the typical scope. Heat-recovery ventilation features in larger projects. SEAI grant eligibility varies. Wicklow town is on the southern edge of our service area and we take retrofit projects here for well-developed briefs.

Home Retrofitting · How we run it

Home Retrofitting in Wicklow town, the way it should be done.

A home retrofit is more than insulation. Done properly, it treats the house as one system: the fabric, the windows and doors, airtightness, ventilation and heating are designed together so each upgrade supports the others. Marcin holds certification from Engineers Ireland in Retrofitting and Energy Efficiency and has completed advanced retrofit skills training at Mount Lucas National Construction Training Campus.

Every home retrofitting project in Wicklow town is run personally by Marcin's in-house team — site visits within the working week on the Wicklow side of the city, and same-day answers on WhatsApp. For the full detail on how we approach home retrofitting — process, specification and certification — see the retrofit service page.
